Graduation Green Pledge

Since 1998, Mercyhurst College graduates have participated on a voluntary basis in the nationwide movement, the Graduation Pledge Alliance, also known as the Graduation Green Pledge.

Students who sign the pledge agree to consider the ethical, social and environmental implications of decisions they make. In doing so, they receive a pledge card to carry with them to remind them of their promise.

This pledge is in keeping with the mission and core values of Mercyhurst College.

The pledge reads:

"I, __________, pledge to explore and take into account the social and environmental consequences of any job I consider and will try to improve these aspects of any organizations for which I work."
